Jim Schaffer : Mindfulness at Work
Jim Schaffer helps management teams, salespeople and corporate staff develop a calm focus on producing results and a heightened sense of morale at work — regardless of what may be going on around them.
Jim is a consultant, coach and speaker who brings more than 30 years of sales and management experience to his clients in a career which has included stints with numerous start-ups as well as Fortune 1000 companies. He began his career in the seventies as the first Boston-based employee of Computer Associates (CA Technologies), during the time the company went public and doubled in size every six months.
Since then, Jim has managed teams for a number of companies in the software, digital media and market research industries. He is currently Vice President of the Keller Fay Group, a word of mouth market research firm based in New Brunswick, NJ.
In 1990, Jim began offering his popular "Conscious Selling" seminars in public venues throughout New England as well as for private clients. His consulting work is focused on bringing principles of Mindfulness to corporate employees as a way to increase their engagement with work, enhance their awareness and focus, develop greater resilience, and be truly present in their jobs.
In his management career and through his consulting work, he has helped bring mindfulness principles to thousands of people across many diverse industries. His combination of real-world field experience with "cutting edge ideas from 2500 years ago" offers his audiences real tools for transforming the rest of their careers.
Jim has been featured at the New England Whole Health Expo and Babson College's Annual Symposium for Spirituality in Business.
A longtime student of Eastern philosophy, Jim holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania. He and his wife live in the Boston area.
